Bravesole started in Pasig and conducted a Free Call Center Foundation Skills Training in 2018 with the support of the City Social Welfare and Development Solo Parent focal person, Ma. Millet Ancheta, Licensed Social Worker Officer III. It aims to open doors to new employment opportunities for solo parents as well as their children, who are already in their legal age. This was the beginning of more projects that led to building of relationships among solo parents from different barangay.
In 2019, Bravesole initiated “Rumble Jumble with Bravesoles Berzaar”, a bazaar for a cause at Hampton Gardens Arcade along C.Raymundo, Pasig City. It was an income -generating project that allowed solo parents to showcase their own products and services. A portion of the profit are collected to raise funds in preparation for the Year-End Gift Giving to Solo Parents with Special Children.
The National Council for Solo Parents ambassadress in Pasig City, Eden “Denize” Gatpandan, also a OneBravesole, promoted our advocacy in providing skills training in a Filipino Virtual Community with the help of other volunteer coaches.
Our first batch of learners are from Philippines Association of Licensed Massage Therapist (PALMT) whose livelihood have been directly affected by the pandemic due to social distancing that caused the shut down of most businesses and loss of jobs.
Bravesole, together with other Filipino Volunteer Coaches, aims to introduce ways and means in earning and running businesses online. We teach basics of digital skills such as video editing, graphics and design, web development, social media management, ad management, chat support and the like.
